Funeral Song
My sister and Iagreed that no matter how far the technology has gone, we cannotdeny the fact that there are really some wandering spirits aroundus that want to finish their mission on earth by seeking our help.
My story happened this Holy Week of 2003. I was working then asan email support in a call center here in Manila. After thepreshift meeting, we went starting our work. Since it was agraveyard shift, we were allowed to play music on our pc providedthat we're using earphones. So my officemate (who's one seatapart from me), started to listen to her fave disc played on herpc. After few minutes, she realized that she's hearing 2 music.She stopped playing the cd, and the other music kept on playing (andthis one sounded like the one we hear on a funeral service). Sheinsisted that there's no such music installed on her pc since shewanted only upbeat music to keep her awake. I told her to closethe media player, but the music unexplainably kept on playing.She even made me listen to the music 10 minutes after she closedthe media player. To my surprise, it's true, and it feels eerieat that time.
So I told my officemate to pray 3 Glory Be's as I remembered whatmy Theology professor told us to do whenever we encountersomething eerie. And she did what I told her. Suddenly, the musicstopped playing right after she prayed.
