Adventures In Babysitting
My stepfather is inthe marines and we live in Pensacola Florida so we live close bya base where lots of military families are stationed. One night Iwas babysitting these two little girls in their house on the base.The girls names were Anna (3) and Mary-Beth (2)
We were sitting in the dining room and i was feeding the girlsdinner. they were sitting across from each other at the table andi was facing them. All of a sudden Anna goes Courtney who's thatman standing behind you? and I automatically thought there was aburgler in the house, so i spun around really fast and there wasnobody there. I turned back to anna and said anna what man? andshe said courtney that man standing right behind you. I turnedaround and once again there was nobody standing behind me. So iturned back to anna and she said courtney you dont have to beafraid he's not going to bite you! and then it got cold.I askedanna what he looked like and she said that he said his name wasPolo, and that he was wearing a war costume with a big bloody boo-booon his leg. (remember she's only three so thats why she said boo-boo)
After the girls were finished eating i rinsed off their dishesand put them in the sink. then i went into their playroom to puton a movie for them. I went back into the kitchen and the plateswere on the floor. The sink is too high for any of the girls toreach in, so i got scared. I picked up the dishes and put themback in the sink. i left the room and returned into the kitchenand the dishes were on the floor again. I picked them up and putthem back into the sink and yelled STOP IT!!! and they stayed inthere for the rest of the night
As i mentioned before i had started a movie in the playroom forthe girls, so we went ot go watch it. we were all sittin on thecouch, Mary-Beth on my lap and anna sitting right beside me. theremote control was all the way across the room. All of a suddenthe lights went out and started flickering,then the movie we werewatching turned off and the channels started changing i screamedSTOP! and the tv stopped on the history channel, which was talkinabout Fort barancas( which is in pensacola about 1/2 a mile fromwhere i was right then) and it was talkin about the civil war andhow it was fought there. remember how i said that anna haddescribed a man wearig a war costume...coincidence or not? ithink this man fought and was killed in the civil war.
Then after the whole tv thing the girls have this little rockihorse. and if you push one ear it starts rocking and playingmusic, and if you push the other ear it neighs. well thebatteries were dead, and we were still sitting on the couch andit started neighing and playing music and rocking. then annascreamed no that toy is too big for you polo you are going tobreak it! let me just put it this way...i was freaked out
well thats my adventures in babysitting for that night....i'msupposed to go there this weekend to babysit again. who know'swhat might happen this time!
