One of my favourite dates is teaching my partner how to drive a car with a manual transmission. find an empty parking lot, make sure you have some good tunes, and a full tank of gas. it may seem unromantic, but it's hilarious for the both of you to see the "student driver" sputter and stall the car. Also, if he/she is finally succesful, he/she will always remember where he/she learned how to do it, and the patient one who taught him/her. - Greg

My boyfriend and I are the type that dont really like to do the whole "dinner and a movie". It gets boring and doesn't leave much time to talk. I remember a GREAT date he took me on. He knew that I love Frito Pies (chili, cheese, fritos) and he also knew I hadn't had one since like 7th grade. He found a place the made them (SONIC) and we pretended to have a nice romantic dinner. Then we were off to the mall where he had me build a bear (at the build-a-bear store). Now I have a cute little teddy to carry around with me. And whats even sweeter is that this little bear has a heart in him that my man kissed before it got put into the bear. Now even when he is far away, I always can keep a kiss nearby. I treasure that bear with all my heart. -Melissa

I am always trying to find creative ideas for dates. I live in Minnesota which is cold for at least five months out of the year. What I enjoy taking a date to is a local coffee house. Minneapolis and St.Paul are filled with a variety of coffee houses which attract diverse people. I look for different local entertainment at coffee houses, which can be from poetry, small plays, music, lititure reviews. The cost is usuallyfree and the coffee is good. Some places even have light inexpensive meals. My favorite place to go is Black Bear Crossing at the Pavillion in Como Park, St. Paul. The last time I went the writer Louise Erdrich spoke. They also have a fabulous menu and cost is minimal. Thank You, - Yve

I have this idea for a cheap date. I would go to the park with this beautiful girl on one particular morning. We would wear old grubby clothing. She would wear a pink T-shirt that would have the words Hubba Bubba printed on the front. When we get out there we would pull out our favorite packs of bubble gum. After chewing for a while we then look at each other and blow up these amazingly large bubbles. Our bubbles would be pressed together as we blow them up bigger and bigger. The bigger the better. We would have contests to see who's bubble could be the first to pop the other person's bubble. It would be a battle of pressure. When the bubbles get outrageously enormous we would pop them together and kiss in the yummy popped bubble gum. Well let me know what you think. Take Care, - Dave

My boyfriend and I haven't been able to see each other much lately, he just got this new job and works opposite hours then I do. Anyway, one day, before he went to work, I came over to his house around 4 in the morning to make him breakfast in bed before he went to work. He loved the surprise, even if I might have burnt the pancakes a little! It really brought us closer in a time where every moment was savored. - Amber

One of the funniest dates, was a group date were everyone tied their wrists together and ate spagetti. The table was boy girl boy girl. You really have to work together to eat, and have fun. - Cassandra

Take your date to get hot chocolate (or bring it with you) and go look at Christmas lights together. If you live in MN, go check out the Lake Lucy display, it will blow your mind! - Kristin
